How Lasfit Floor Mats Changed My Initial Impression Of Them? | Review & Overview
Erich met Lasfit by chance and he said that the Lasfit floor mat experience changed his first impression and became a good partner for his 4Runner. How to deal with the bad weather in Minnesota? Erich will give his answer.
Product:Toyota 4Runner 2014-2022 Floor Mats 1st & 2nd Row
Vehicle: 2015 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro
No True Expections about Lasfit Floor Mats.
I posses a set of WeatherTechs in one of my off-roading vehicles. There are a few things that I do not enjoy. Therefore I was open to trying a new set of all-weather rubber mats. Then I was reading through a 4Runner forum when I came across a gentleman who spoke highly of the product and recommended purchasing a set. I had no true expectations other than curiosity.
How Lasfit Floor Mats Suprised Me?
My first experience with the mats was an initial impression of them being cheaply produced. After further examination I found that I was quite satisfying with the material, durability, and fit within my 4Runner.
I am highly satisfied with the texture and touch of the Lasfit mats. What I enjoyed most about my initial steps on the mats was they were soft as if already broken in. This provides a comfortable location for resting my feet during long road trips.
The coverage is one of the things that I enjoy most of the Lasfit mats. They are pushed to every edge covering all of the floor space where carpet is located. The smooth roll off edges make for a quick sweep for ease of cleaning.
The top three things that I love about my Lasfit mats are:
1) How well they fit inside my vehicle
2) The soft and comfortable texture and material they are comprised of
3) How easy they are to clean off following a day of mudding!
My Story with Floor Mats.
My daily commuting consists of 84 miles a day to from work on Monday - Friday. On the weekends I tend to do more recreational off-roading.
And I live in MN, so all weather mats are a necessity in the winter due to all of the snow we get and the salt they use on the roads here in the winter. The salt gets on your feet, melts in the car and is absorbed by the carpet where it crystallizes back into salt as a white residue.
One of the things I enjoy most of Lasfit floor mats is how easily I can clean them off in a matter of minutes. I maintain a soft bristle broom from an old broom that I had in my house. I use this after removing the mats and dumping them off for a more thorough cleaning.

These look decent. Same as Husky or Weather Tech liners. Pretty much a knock off of these 2.

lasfit reverse engineers everything. at one point they had copy and pasted DIODE DYNAMICS website info for their led pods.

They've actually asked me to measure their competitors' mats and send them measurements....

Its somewhat poor business ethics to directly copy your competitors IP. Mainly Chinese companies do this as theres no enforcement on US judgements for patents and trademarks in China. So win in a court here, get a judgement and good luck getting some CCP ******* in Shanghai to enforce it. This is how China works, they invent and design nothing but rather just steal others IP, who have spent all the time to go through the trial and error and engineering phase followed often times by real world testing.
Why anybody would support this style of business is beyond me.

Unfortunately people like cheap crap. That's why we have a culture of buying disposable garbage from China from stores like Walmart that gets used once and thrown in the trash can.
Personally I'd rather buy more expensive and durable stuff and get my money's worth out of it, but unfortunately that seems to not be the norm these days.

Wow. I'm really glad I came across this thread to see everyone's input/experiences with these guys. I had purchased a set of bulbs from them in the past, but I have no interest in supporting a business who engages in such shady practices...

I will say I have seen these floor mats in person and they fit well and look the part. Again same as Weather Tech and Husky. I have also seen their LED kit for the 2014+ 5th gen also nice. I just don't like companies that steal other companies R&D and sell a cheaper product.

The mats do fit well and the material feels good, and is not slippery, but the ring design is terrible. Pics below. I am 6’3”, 220lbs and wear cowboy boots 90% of the time. When I get in I place my right heel in first into the floor mat. Many times the split rings would separate and the mat would come loose from the factory hold downs and move forward into the accelerator or under the brake. I would try pressing/clicking these rings back together tightly, but they would quickly come loose again. I even thought about super gluing the rings together, but the material they are made of may crack or melt and that isn’t the problem fix. They need to have a good, safe locking ring system like OEM mats. I still think they should give our money back.
Oh, and BTW, this was one year ago.
